Our Board
Natalie Betcher, Board President
As a parent, I understand the importance of ensuring children and families have access to education, support and prevention services that help them thrive. I have chosen to serve on the board because I am committed to helping strengthen families and empower youth through prevention, education and community collaboration. I work in the financial services industry, where I help individuals and organizations plan for their financial futures while building trusted, long-term relationships. My experience in strategic planning, fiduciary responsibility and community engagement allows me to contribute a thoughtful and collaborative perspective to the board.
Cathy Berens, Vice President
As a Nurse Practitioner for twenty one years, the core concepts of nursing align with Mercer's mission in that the goals of our interventions are to optimize natural healing processes and utilize external conditions to gain mental, physical and emotional repair and restoration. Like nursing, Mercer captures holistic care models for health, home and community. Mercer is the cornerstone for individuals and families to be seen, heard and understood. Mercer clients arrive as they are, but find purpose, protection and guidance. I joined the board in October 2017 as a means to personally and professionally connect to and show my gratitude towards the professionals in our community that work to identify and intervene on behalf of individuals and families to create optimism, security, connection and social inclusion. Outside of my role as a Nurse Practitioner, I am blessed to be the mother of Trig, 21 and Jos, 17. I have been on the Wildcatters golf tournament Board of Directors for the past three years and enjoy walking and golfing.
